ABSTRACT:
A 7 page paper discussing the macroenvironment in which Boeing will be launching the 787 Dreamliner when it becomes available in 2006, for the purpose of establishing a strategic plan for the company. The paper examines the economy and sociocultural considerations, choosing to focus on economic conditions. The Dreamliner is expected to be much more fuel efficient than current models, thereby bringing benefit to Boeing's commercial airline customers which are reeling in the face of spiraling fuel costs.
